Mighty Three-Faced Goddess of the Crossroads,
Harken to my calling and attend your Holy Names,
As I now burn for you these herbs and bring you the sacred offerings!
You who bear upon your head an Everlasting Crown,
Strong as the unbreakable bonds of the great Kronos,
And hold in your hands the Sceptre of Power,
Upon which Kronos himself has inscribed his letters,
Given to you to wield, so that your rule remain eternal and steadfast:
Subduer but never subdued, Mankind's Subduer,
And Force-subduer; even in Chaos you rule!
O Daughter of the Titan, Ophidian Mistress, Enthroned Queen,
Mistress of the Hounds of Hades, who roam the Desolate Crossroads,
Goddess of Unmarked Graves, O Nether and Nocturnal One,
Infernal Goddess of the Dark, Quiet and Frightful One,
It is you, the One Whom Others Fear, that I now call upon with hope in my heart!
O You who have your meals amid the graves,
Necessity, the Inescapable One are you;
You're Pandeina and Chthonia, Torment, Justice and Destroyer,
Keeper of Kerberos in chains, with scales of serpents darkly adorned,
By Nyx, Erebus and Great Chaos:
It is the power of your names that I now Evoke!
O You with Hair of Serpents, Viper-Girded One,
Who drink Blood, Who bring Death and Destruction,
And who feast On Hearts,
Flesh Eater, who devour those who died untimely,
And who make Grief resound and spread Madness,
Come and accept my Sacrifices, and in return fulfil the requests of which I shall speak!
Offering for the rites in which the prayer is employed:
For doing Good, offer an incense mix consisting of Storax, Myrrh, Sage, Frankincense and a dried apple pit.
For doing Harm, offer the bones of a dog, a goat or in a similar fashion the corpse elements of a Virgin Untimely Dead and together with the dried root of the aconite give as burnt offering upon the brazier.
Protective Charm for the rite:
Take a Lodestone and on it carve or paint an image of the Three-Faced Hekate. Let the middle face be that of a horned maiden, the sinistral face be that of a dog, and the dextral face be that of a Goat. Cleanse then the carved, or otherwise marked, stone with the smoke of sulphur, wash it with spring water and finally immerse it in the blood of one who has died a violent death in order to further strengthen the telestic link to the essence of Hekate. Alternatively you may draw the same image of the Goddess on a piece of consecrated parchment, with the blood of a fitting sacrifice.
As a final step give a suitable Food Offering to the charm and recite anew the prayer to Hekate and ask her to fully seat a portion of her Divine Power within the sympathetic form of the charm.
